Meet Maria Alcantara, a passionate individual who started as a caregiver at SRG and has risen to astounding heights through dedication and the unwavering support of a nurturing work environment.

Maria was promoted to a Medication Aide position, and then ultimately promoted to Director of Assisted Living. She started at one of our communities and moved over to our Peninsula Del Rey community. Maria embodies the essence of growth, drive, and career progression at SRG. 

We caught up with her to find out how dedication and ambition can intertwine to create a remarkable journey of success and fulfillment. 

What about the Director of Assisted Living (DOAL) job at SRG caught your eye?

Maria explains, “The endless learning and self-fulfillment in what I do, motivated me to strive for the DOAL job. Having a job that is also my passion is really important to me.”

What do you enjoy most about your job?

“There is a sense of fulfillment in what I do. Seeing my residents happy with the services we provide.”

Maria continues, “Not only from the Health Services Department but as a whole community. I enjoy working collaboratively with my team, my co-department head and corporate management team.”

What's been your most epic moment at the company so far?

“There are a lot of milestones in my career in SRG. Starting as a Caregiver then Medication Aide and now DOAL. From meeting the expectations to exceeding expectations. The most epic would be SRG giving me the opportunity to lead a department as DOAL.”
