Responsibilities include:
- Provides community office coordination for smooth operations.
- Plays a key role as a community ambassador of goodwill.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Demonstrates work habits that support the organization’s mission to create and maintain distinctive, service-enriched housing environments for America’s senior population. Supports the community’s programs to encourage resident independence, well-being, and opportunity for personal growth.
- Maintains a professional appearance, manner, and approach while on duty.
- Demonstrates an appreciation of the heritage, values, and wisdom of the resident and an understanding of the aging process.
- Assists in the implementation of established policies and procedures.
- Makes an active contribution towards improving community relations, increasing public regard and overall awareness of the community.
- Demonstrates the ability to work as a team member in sharing the responsibility for resident services in cooperation with all team members. Promotes staff participation and involvement in day-to-day operations and decision making. Promotes team building and customer service.
- Reports to Executive Director any resident and employee incidents, identifies safety hazards and assists in instituting corrective action in a timely manner. Shares in the responsibility for maintaining an environment that is conducive to the safety, physical and emotional well-being of residents, prospects and personnel.
- Assists department heads by acting as resource to them.
- Coordinates efficient community office functioning to include ordering of supplies, orderliness.
- Reports all grievances and complaints and makes necessary reports to Executive Director.
- Maintains appropriate levels of confidentiality.
- Attains and/or maintains ongoing compliance with appropriate local’s state, federal, regulatory, and/or accrediting body standards. Ensures that the program is prepared for inspection by regulatory agencies through regular auditing and updating of program policies and procedures, required documentation, environmental standards, etc.
- Practices the highest standards of ethics, honesty, integrity and accuracy in representing the community, its ownership and management, services and facilities to the public, its residents and co-workers.
- Continues to expand his/her knowledge of senior and/or assisted living and the needs of the elderly by attending training sessions as directed by Executive Director.
- Compiles and sort documents, assists with maintenance of resident
- Assists Executive Director with submission of weekly and monthly management reports as directed.
- Is accountable to Executive Director.
- May supervise front desk personnel.
- Provides support to other departments as directed.
Experience/Training Education/Certification
- To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. - Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/ or training; or equivalent combination of education and education.
- Three (3) years experience in general office procedures required.
- Customer service experience required.
- Strong computer skills required. Experience in senior living, country club or hospitality industry preferred.
- Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write reports that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to Executive Director.
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of accounting. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to financial situations. Ability to reconcile accounts and handle petty cash.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
